Kathleen Fowler, Esq., earned her law degree from New England School of Law in 1985, and received the Jurisprudence award in Business Taxation. Attorney Fowler began her practice of law with the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, auditing estate tax and fiduciary income tax returns. While there, she designed the Fiduciary Income Tax Form in use today. Prior to opening her own firm in Wellesley, Massachusetts, Attorney Fowler counseled clients in estate planning and complex business succession strategies as a member of a Quincy-based financial planning firm. In 1991, she founded the Wellesley, Massachusetts Law Firm and soon after opened her office on Cape Cod. She specializes in estate planning, estate tax reduction techniques, asset shielding, business law, income tax planning, charitable giving techniques and probate avoidance. She lives in Dennis with her husband, Neal Fowler, who is an avid sailor. They have two sons, Andrew Fowler, who received his degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology, and Nicholas Fowler, who is attending UMass Dartmouth studying for a degree in History.

After being sworn in as a Florida Attorney in 2012, Kathleen Fowler has conducted her Florida practice in her Venetia Bay Boulevard office.  Attorney Fowler makes frequent trips to the Venice office to serve our office's Florida clients.  Every month, Attorney Fowler will be available to meet with you in the Venice office.  She looks forward to meeting you.

 

Staff

William Lord, Head of Estate Administration

Bill is a graduate of American International College, is an Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst.  For most of his professional career, he was a senior officer in the Investment Management Group at Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company in Springfield, Mass., where he was responsible for investing and managing investment securities for the company’s largest portfolios and clients. Bill and his wife, Linda, a well-known local jewelry designer, relocated to Cape Cod in 1999. His extensive business experience lends itself to the needs of our clients, their families and the firm in his primary role of estate administrator.

Pauline Brazelton, Estate Administration Assistant

Polly works closely with Bill in handling our firm’s estate matters. She started with our firm in May 2016 part-time after retiring in 2015. Polly’s work life started at J. P. Morgan in New York City, where she spent thirteen years working as a loan officer and fixed income salesperson. In 1989 she abandoned the city life for Sun Valley, Idaho, where she spent eight years with her husband and two children. Her last job was Controller for Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, a premier landscape design firm in Cambridge and NYC. Outside the office, Polly spends her time playing tennis and taking care of her two dogs.   

Ruth D. French, Legal Assistant

Ruth joined our staff as a part-time Legal Assistant in March of 2008. Ruth has a background in customer service and her primary role is to provide general office support and assistance to the Attorneys and other office personnel. She lives in Hyannis with her husband, George and lovable rescue dog Emmylou. Ruth has two children and two grandchildren.

Nicholas Fowler, Legal Assistant

Nick has been part of the office staff for the last five years. He is currently attending UMass Dartmouth where he is finishing his degree in History, and works part time in the office. Nick provides general office assistance to the Attorneys and other office personnel. Nick has lived in Dennis for the last two decades and in his spare time enjoys reading and spending time with his feline companions.

Abbigail E. Santos, Legal Assistant

Abbi joined our staff in August 2016 with a background in office management from a well-known local Chiropractic office. She is finishing her degree in Criminal Justice at Curry College and then will continue on her path to law school.  She provides assistance to the Attorneys and other office personnel, aids clients with retitling their assets into their trusts and oversees billing and workflow. As a born and raised Cape Codder, Abbi enjoys being outdoors, going to the gym and spending quality time with her dogs and cat in South Yarmouth.
